On circling dates on calendar and how Alabama prepares for the season:

We don’t circle dates on the calendar. We focus week in and week out on each game that we have coming up. We have to know that we are getting every team’s best. I don’t think we are allowed to circle dates. We just have to focus on each game, on getting better each week. So, it gets to that end goal, the National Championship, is what we’re focusing on.

On watching film and what he focuses on:

I like to watch some of the safeties in the league. I like to focus on current plates like Darren James. I like his game ‚Äì how versatile he is in the NFL. I’d like to focus on studying what they do, how they read quarterbacks, how they run the alley on a run game, or how they play the deep ball in the deep part of the field. So, just focusing on things like that for the upcoming season.

On his motivation coming back for his senior year:

Obviously the most motivation to come back was the National Championship and trying to get that National Championship back. But I’m also getting a degree for my mom and for myself as well. That’s a big thing in the family. My mom and dad have degrees, so like I say, I want to get the degree as well.
