Georgia Bulldogs College Football Postgame Quote, 12/31/2021

Opponent: Michigan Wolverines
Jordan Davis

Good evening, everybody.

Derion Kendrick comes over as a transfer from Clemson. Played in the College Football Playoff games before. For him to have the performance he had tonight, what do you think it meant to him and the defense?

Shoot, you know, we came in here and wanted to play our game. D.K. coming from Clemson, being part of a winning program, won a national championship in the past, definitely gives him experience. He’s been here before so he knows how this thing goes.

He just got to keep it balanced. He kept his balance, got two takeaways, had an amazing performance tonight. You couldn’t really ask much more of him.

Jordan, are you a fan of oranges? Second, y’all have heard all week about Michigan’s offensive line, the Joe Moore Award. How much did y’all hear that and use it as motivation to prove you are one of the best defensive fronts in the country?

Definitely a fan of oranges.

But, you know, we didn’t really use it as motivation. We knew the Joe Moore Award and they totally deserved that, they have a great offensive line. But we just wanted to make sure that we was dominant and physical up front. We wanted to make sure we tested them, gave them a challenge.

That was our game plan going in, being a physical, more dominant front. It was a battle of the line of scrimmage. That was our goal.
