On being called into the game:

I think playing quarterback here and with the culture of our room, my coach prepared me well to step in there. It’s really just about my teammates, trying to be the best I can for those guys and putting them in the best position. We‚Äôre leaning on them and doing the best they can for me.

On going to the National Championship Game:

I can’t (put it into words). It’s been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. It still hasn’t even hit yet. It’s unbelievable and it’s just a testament to all the work, all the adversity we’ve gone through, and the continuous elevation of this team has shown.

It’s huge. One of our overall keys of victories is win the middle eight ‚Äì those first four minutes before half time and the next four ‚Äì so getting points in that position and then coming out of half time and getting that touchdown is huge.
