Onthe passing of Luke Knox:

When something like that happens to you, it makes you look inside. Retrospect ‚Ķ I think that that makes you look and kind of put things back in maybe the right categories, the right perspective. And I think a lot of the young men on our team have done that and understanding that life’s fragile, life’s precious, take handle ofevery moment you can. And so I’ve seen that.

On FIU experience at the helm of program leading up to Bryant:

There’s always great excitement. I can’t say enough about what Scott Carr and his whole staff has doneand also our alumni association with Sarah and how they’ve gotten everybody behind that. And Ken Jessell and Elizabeth Bejar and Javi and all the people with now the tailgating and all the different things that we’re doing. We have to be in line for us to be successful. It’s not just me doing it. It’s not just Scott Carr doing it and it’s not just the administration. We all have to be in line and we are in line.

They had us come speak at all the freshmen gatherings and doing different things. We had a huge freshmen gathering they’ve never done before that was phenomenal out here.All our players were out there and there were over 3,000 students so all of those type of things I think generate campus loyalty. Loyalty to the programs, to the teams and getting them more involved.
