On the defensive outlook:

What we were going to have to do is just continue to be us and play the football that we have for the past 13 to 14 weeks. As a defense we’re going to always try to come out and help our offense. We’re just going to play as hard as we can. We know what they’re capable of and I’m pretty sure they know what we’re capable of too. As long as we play together, communicate as a defense, and hit on all cylinders with special teams, offense, and defense, I feel like everything will be good.

On Georgia QB Carson Beck:

I’ve known him for a minute because he’s from North Florida where I’m from. (I like) his will to win. He’s a good football player. You never going to take that away from him but I don’t think he’s seen a defense like ours where we press so much. I can’t wait to play against him. He’s a great quarterback and draft candidate.

On the team’s focus:

We just have to stand together. It’s a big thing to the team for the people that showed up to play. Our model is we all we got. The guys that came and played, it’s their time now. Even the young guys that might be out there, it’s their time to shine. That’s what (the coaches) have been really harping on. Obviously, we’re down in Miami so we’re having some fun but (coach said) these three days are time to lock in. The first two days were all fun but now it’s time to lock in and get ready for a fight. We fight. That’s what makes us good.
