On riding roller coasters:

Yeah, the bigger the better. I mean, I love all the thrills I wanted to get to the [Starflyer] swing but couldn’t get there. But at universal I went to all the biggest roller coasters I could, so I’ll try anything.

On speaking with Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz:

He recruited me when I was in high school and I haven’t really been in person to talk to him since so it’s good to reconnect with him. So it’s been a really good day. [Question: What did you talk about?] It was good I mean, he said at first like, [he wishes] I would have came to Iowa, obviously, but we both have respect for each other, and I wish him the best and everything that he does. He’s a great, stand-up dude, and I couldn’t respect him any more.

On being a role model:

I mean, these kids look up to us as college football players. We’re just regular dudes, but to them, we’re a little bit more, and we’ve got to realize that and set ourselves to a certain standard when we’re around them. So it was great to meet the kids was great to meet the Iowa players. They’re a bunch of really good dudes, and it was good to have a day like this to kind of relax before things get really serious in the next 48 hours.

On facing Iowa defensive back Riley Moss:

I remember playing against Riley when we were at Penn State, and he’s a great player, and instinctive, and he jumps routes well, and he definitely watches film and knows the combinations that are coming. And you can just tell how they operate. And it’s a great challenge to have. I mean, it’s a great defense, and you don’t want to be going against an easy defense in a bowl game like this. So it’s a good opportunity for us as an offense to show our stuff and just play to the best of our abilities.

I’ll know when I’m 31 is ‚Äì I’m going to sure that I keep that in mind, but here’s good players all across the board. We’re not going to be able to choose one side or the other. We’re going to have to kind of pick both and let our guys make plays too, because we’ve got good players, they’ve got good players, and at the end of the day, it just comes down to one-on-one matchups and just making things work. They’re going to make plays, we’re going to make plays, and at the end of the day, it’s just about who’s going to make more.
