On his role this season:

I don’t think that’s very predictable, because every year it seems to always be something different. There is really no telling what’s to come, but I’m very acceptable to it right now. I’m healthy and prepared to do anything I can do to help our team win.

On gaining confidence from the Duke’s Mayo Bowl:

Yes, it really did. I think personally I needed something, and it was really great for my confidence. I am very grateful for that experience, and I thank God for that opportunity to have that experience.

On teammate Spencer Rattler:

He’s a very great guy. Spencer’s locker is right next to mine, so we share a lot of great stories. The kind of guy he is off the field. He’s a great leader. Energy, very contagious. A guy you want be around. I think everybody knows he can spin the ball really well. He’s been a great asset to our team.
