On learning from the hardships of last season:

No one can throw anything at us that we can’t handle now. You go from being told how you can practice to when or what we can do. Any light of that we can prepare for it.

On competing in what should be more of a regular fall:

You can set a schedule and stick to it, so that will be the number one advantage that we have. Then we’ve got to get the work in and we’re going to get in on schedule I guess you would say.

On the battle in the quarterback room:

D’Wan Mathis is our starter, and Re-al Mitchell had a great spring along with some other guys. Justin Lynch got on campus as well and he looks really good, so there’s going to be a good competition there for the backup role. D’Wan is a real self-motivated guy so he will keep getting better himself to. You don’t have to push that a whole lot.
