Tennessee Volunteers College Football Pregame Quote, 12/28/2022

Opponent: Clemson Tigers
Joe Milton III

On considering transferring last season:

JOE MILTON III: I did not consider it because in life you have to learn. On my mirror back in Knoxville, Tennessee, I have a saying that says to never stop learning because life never stops teaching. I pretty much look at that every day when I brush my teeth and wash my face. It’s one of the things I cherish because it’s life; things are going to happen. You’re going to face adversity. I faced adversity twice and I learned a lot from it. I feel like I’m still growing, and I’m still getting better every day. It’s just a blessing.

On not starting this season:

JOE MILTON III: It was fulfilling because I learned a lot. I learned from Hendon (Hooker’s) game. I learned from my game, I learned what I need to do better and how I can implement some of his stuff in my game. Just taking pieces and adding them to my game. Just cherishing our moments.

On how the offense changes with him at quarterback:

JOE MILTON III: Nothing has changed. Tennessee is still going to be Tennessee. The offense is going to operate how we operate. We’re going to play fast.
