That [game] is probably the biggest game of the year, especially when we head to their town [Baton Rouge]. We just know it is going to be a dogfight every year.

On Head Coach Billy Napier’s pen and paper policy:

Coach Napier always preaches that we should bring pen and paper to write important stuff down. He says writing it down allows you to take in the process and information. He always preaches to take things day-by-day to keep making each other better.

On the mindset for the 2022 season:

The mindset started in January. We hold everybody accountable, and we all know our flaws. This year, we have a lot of veteran guys and we know that we can’t do the same we did last year in order to have a positive result this year. We always take initiative about having minor mistakes and being critical on the assignment system.

On his favorite things about The Swamp:

It’s something about the heat. It does something to the other team. Having 12 guys on the field when the stadium is packed makes it quite loud. The fans always want us to do great.
